Notes: Vienna Family Dental, Art Deco (s11, method local-practice)

Concept in one line: the jewel box on Maple Avenue: the practice as a 1920s hotel lobby where your appointment is a reservation ("Your chair is ready." → "Reserve your chair"), and Vienna appears in its own 1920s beside today.

Images used

Library: hero-01-2 (hero), people-10-1, people-01-1, people-02-1 (service tiles), place-02-1 (reviews background, darkened), detail-05-1 (paying), texture-05-1 (duotone lapis, sedation ground), svg/illustration-01, -04 (service tiles, recolored brass on lapis/malachite), svg/illustration-06 (sedation, brass). Considered and dropped: texture-04-1 terrazzo (reviewer: read as 1980s, not 1920s); people-04-1 as the reviews ground (a stock couple under "Rated 4.9 by 292 patients" implied they were patients).

Business assets: all 12 team portraits, all 5 cases (veneers-face-after also as the cosmetic tile), both logos.

Online (Wikimedia Commons, via the Commons API):

Downloaded but unused: Kenyon and Sanderson groups (1920s Vienna families; tempting, but people on a dentist's page read as patients), Meadowlark Botanical Gardens (CC BY 2.0; colour didn't fit the essay).

The guide: where it helped, where it got in the way

The review loop

Two rounds; the reviewer said ship after round 2 (scores 7 → 8 overall, phone 6 → 8), so no third. It helped, mostly with things I hadn't looked at closely enough: the phone mosaic where captions sat under the next photos (broken, invisible in the desktop view), the makeover case cropped to the forehead so the result didn't show, and Dr. Paino's single portrait used twice. Those three mattered most. Its taste calls were good too: terrazzo read as 1980s, and the stock couple behind the rating headline implied patients. One suggestion didn't transfer literally (its mask percentages would have hidden the sunburst), so I adjusted the values.
