Not an old-school dentist

“As a child, I had an old school dentist who was pretty rough around the edges, and my family shared countless horror stories. I always thought I could change their perception of what a dentist is and what a dental appointment should be like.”

Dr. Paino trained at the University of Maryland’s Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, did his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, and learned the Marshall Hanson method of no-drill composite veneers. He is a member of the ADA, the AACD and the Spear Study Club.

Smiles from this chair

Real patients of the practice, before and after, as they agreed to share them.

Before: an uneven bite and worn front edges After: Invisalign, whitening and composite veneers
Invisalign, whitening, composite veneers. An uneven bite and worn front edges: several months of Invisalign, then whitening, then veneers to rebuild the edges. Not a single shot.

Before: a missing lateral incisor and a small peg tooth After: whitening, bonding and a porcelain Maryland bridge
A Maryland bridge. Born missing one tooth and too young for an implant: whitening, bonding on the small tooth, and an all-porcelain bridge.
Before: chipped, worn and discolored teeth After: a smile makeover planned digitally
A smile makeover. Designed on screen, tried in as a 3D mock-up, then done while she slept, with the anesthesiologist.

A cup of tea and an open book on a side table beside an armchair

Nervous is normal.

Bring the nerves; we’ll bring the blankets. There are pillows, TVs and noise-canceling headphones in the rooms, and laughing gas, oral or IV sedation if you want it.

For bigger work, board-certified anesthesiologists come to the office, so you can sleep through it here. We talk it all through first on a Zoom call, before you ever sit in the chair.

“As someone who has some amount of dental anxiety, Dr. Paino has been very good at keeping me relaxed and feeling at ease.”

About sedation dentistry

In their own words

“He spent an incredible amount of time walking us through the process, explaining each option, and sharing his professional recommendations. He even created a mold so we could see exactly what the final result would look like. It was clear from the beginning that he approaches his work as both a science and an art.”

Kadie B., whose daughter needed a front tooth

“What started as a quick fix to a filling turned into a brighter, straighter, and healthier smile. I never planned on getting Invisalign, but I am more than happy with the results.”

Jonathan V., Invisalign

About insurance

We accept all major dental insurance plans and file the claim for you, electronically. We aren’t in-network with any plan: you pay at the visit, and your insurer usually pays you back within a week or two.

Staying out of insurance contracts lets us choose our own materials and labs, and take our time. CareCredit offers 6 months at 0%, or 12- and 18-month plans. Cash, checks and all major cards are welcome.
