Care for the whole family, from a first tooth to a new smile

Most families see us twice a year for a checkup and cleaning, with an oral cancer screening (VELscope) at every exam. When something more is needed, most of it happens here, in our office.

Nervous about the dentist? Dr. Paino knows the feeling

“As a child, I had an old school dentist who was pretty rough around the edges, and my family shared countless horror stories. I always thought I could change their perception of what a dentist is and what a dental appointment should be like.”

Dr. David Paino, DDS

Tell us you're nervous and we'll go at your pace. If you'd like sedation, we start with a Zoom call to talk it through. Choose laughing gas, a pill, IV sedation, or general anesthesia given here by board-certified anesthesiologists who come to our office. We have TVs, blankets, pillows and noise-canceling headphones.

“As someone who has some amount of dental anxiety, Dr. Paino has been very good at keeping me relaxed and feeling at ease.”

The people you'll see at 307 Maple Avenue

Dr. David Paino has been at the practice since 2005. He trained at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, and belongs to the ADA, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Spear Study Club.

Dr. Brandon Grubic grew up in Northern Virginia and went to Herndon High School. Dr. Georges Traboulsi, a board-certified periodontist and Fairfax native, is here Mondays and Wednesdays for implants and gum surgery.

When you call, you'll most likely speak to Trish, our front office manager, who was born and raised in Vienna.

“He spent an incredible amount of time walking us through the process, explaining each option, and sharing his professional recommendations.”

Meet the team

Children's first visit: when the first teeth come in, and by age two

Bring your little one along to your own cleaning for a “Happy Visit”, so the office is familiar before their own turn. Their appointments are short, and laughing gas is there if a child needs it.

We open at 7:30 Monday to Thursday, so a child's checkup can fit in before school.

Insurance: we accept all major plans and file the claim for you

We aren't in-network with any insurer. You pay at your visit, we send the claim electronically, and your insurer usually pays you back within a week or two.

Why we work this way

Staying out of insurance contracts lets us choose the materials and labs we trust, and take the time each visit needs.

Spreading the cost

CareCredit: 6 months at 0%, or 12- and 18-month plans. We also take cash, checks and all major cards.

What will it cost?

Call and ask Lynne, who handles insurance. She can tell you what your plan is likely to cover. [PLACEHOLDER: typical fee for a new-patient exam and cleaning]
