Real smiles from this office

Our own patients, photographed before and after. Every plan starts with seeing the result first: a shade and shape preview, a mold, or a 3D mock-up you try in.

Before: chipped, worn and discolored teethBefore
After: the finished smile makeoverAfter

A smile makeover, done while she slept

Chipped, worn and discolored teeth. The new smile was designed on screen, then she tried in a 3D mock-up and approved it. The work itself was done under anesthesia, with the anesthesiologist in the room.

Invisalign, whitening, composite veneers

An uneven bite and worn edges. Months of Invisalign, then whitening, then veneers to rebuild the edges. Not a single shot.

After: whitening, bonding and a porcelain Maryland bridgeAfter

A missing tooth, too young for an implant

Whitening, bonding on the small “peg” tooth, and an all-porcelain Maryland bridge for the missing one.

The people you'll see

“As a child, I had an old school dentist who was pretty rough around the edges, and my family shared countless horror stories. I always thought I could change their perception of what a dentist is and what a dental appointment should be like.”

Dr. David Paino

Dr. Paino trained in the Marshall Hanson method of no-drill composite veneers. Dr. Grubic grew up here, at Herndon High. Dr. Traboulsi, a board-certified periodontist from Fairfax, is in on Mondays and Wednesdays for implants and gum surgery. Meet the whole team

Children, from the first tooth

Bring your child in when the first baby teeth appear, and no later than two. Before that, they can come along to your cleaning for a “Happy Visit”: a ride in the chair, a look around, nothing to worry about.

Children's appointments are kept short, and laughing gas is there if they need it. We open at 7:30, so a checkup can happen before school.

Family and children's dentistry

Nervous about the dentist? Start with a call on Zoom.

Before anything happens, you can talk it through with us over Zoom. Then choose how relaxed you want to be: laughing gas, a pill, IV sedation, or general anesthesia given by board-certified anesthesiologists who come to the office.

In the chair there are TVs, blankets, pillows and noise-canceling headphones. And nobody watches the clock.

“As someone who has some amount of dental anxiety, Dr. Paino has been very good at keeping me relaxed and feeling at ease.”

What patients say

“He spent an incredible amount of time walking us through the process, explaining each option, and sharing his professional recommendations. He even created a mold so we could see exactly what the final result would look like.”

Kadie B., whose daughter was missing a front tooth

“What started as a quick fix to a filling turned into a brighter, straighter, and healthier smile. I never planned on getting Invisalign, but I am more than happy with the results.”

How paying works

We accept all major dental insurance plans and file your claim electronically. We aren't in-network with any plan, so you pay at the visit and your insurer usually reimburses you within a week or two.

Staying out of insurance contracts is what lets us choose the materials and labs, and take our time with you.
