Dr. Paino became a dentist because his family dreaded theirs

Dr. David Paino has led this practice since 2005. He trained at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and completed his residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. He tells the story of why in his own words:

“As a child, I had an old school dentist who was pretty rough around the edges, and my family shared countless horror stories. I always thought I could change their perception of what a dentist is and what a dental appointment should be like.”

That is why appointments here are booked with time to spare. We will never rush you through appointments, and every option is explained before any work begins.

Sedation dentistry, from laughing gas to sleeping through it

If the dentist makes you anxious, tell us. You choose how much help you want, and we talk it through on a Zoom call before your visit.

  1. Laughing gas

Takes the edge off and wears off quickly. Often used for children.

  2. Oral sedation

Sedation taken by mouth, for a calmer visit.

  3. IV sedation

Deeper sedation given through an IV.

  4. General anesthesia

You sleep through it. Given by board-certified anesthesiologists who come to our office.

TVs, blankets, pillows and noise-canceling headphones, for anyone who wants them.

For children: short appointments, laughing gas when it helps, and a “Happy Visit” during a parent’s cleaning so the first real visit isn’t a surprise.

As someone who has some amount of dental anxiety, Dr. Paino has been very good at keeping me relaxed and feeling at ease.

Straightened first, then rebuilt

Not a single shot: the teeth were moved into place with Invisalign, whitened, and the worn edges rebuilt with composite veneers.

“What started as a quick fix to a filling turned into a brighter, straighter, and healthier smile. I never planned on getting Invisalign, but I am more than happy with the results.”
Jonathan V., Invisalign patient

After: a complete, even smile

A missing tooth, too young for an implant

Whitening, bonding on the small “peg” tooth, and an all-porcelain Maryland bridge for the missing one.

Chipped front teeth, repaired with bonding

Tooth-colored composite bonding, shaped by hand to match.

He even created a mold so we could see exactly what the final result would look like. It was clear from the beginning that he approaches his work as both a science and an art.
